Used Cars with Original Warranty
Under California law, used vehicles being sold throughout the state often carry portions of their original warranty. Most come from their factories with a basic warranty, which provides coverage for many of the car’s components and the powertrain system.
Also, California also requires all vehicles in the state to have an emissions component warranty coverage for 7-years or every 70,000 miles. On top of this, there is the Federal 8-year warranty coverage or 80,000 miles emissions warranty. The California Emissions Warranty is also more extensive than the Federal Emissions Warranty because it covers other smog types not listed in the Federal version.
